"Krabi is livable city and lovely people"

Krabi is a province on the south-west coast of Thailand, around 800 km. from Bangkok, the capital, and world away. The rich culture heritage-the province is round 60% Buddhist and 40% Muslim-also makes for an interesting mix of food, lifestyle and people. And the residents of Krabi will be an integral part of your holiday. Their English may not be the best, but in " The Land of Smiles " ( as Thailand is know ), Krabi's people have surely the biggest and the most genuine on offer. Krabi;s attractions are primarily natural: staggeringly beautiful land and sea scapes, besches and islands, rich flora and fauna both above and below water. The makes it the ideal place for both adventure sports, such as scuba diving, trekking, kayaking and rock climbing, as well as more sedate " spectator " activities, like cruising, snorkelling, or simply soaking up the sun on beach.

Tourist Attraction

Wat Tham Seua or Tiger Cave Temple, These is the most interesting. Set in a beautiful forest, the temple is in fact a famous meditation centre. You can walk around the nature trail, visit the Tiger Cave and, for those who are fit enough, climb the 1,237 stair to the mountain-top shrine for a view that will leave you equally breathless. Organised tours are available from all agents, or you can easily go independently.

Krabi Town is the provincial capital of Krabi. Located at the mouth of the river, it is a small, typically thai, lively market town. The river and sea used to provide Krabi with it's main industry, fishing, but now commerce and service play a larger role. In addition, Krabi has it's own attractions on the river: kayaking in the mangrove forest and visiting local fishing communities are popular options. The caves in Krabi's most famous landmark: Khao Kanab Nam, the two "dog-ear"-shaped rock, visible from Utarakit Road, are also worth a visit.

Ao Nang the beach itself is pretty and palm-fringed-for Krabi relatively unspectacular, espectacular now part of it is used as a parking lot by the longtail boat sriver that will take you to the more beautiful island nearby. It's still a popular sunbathing spot as it's gently sloping sand offers some offers some of the best swimming in the area.
